The Best Hostess/Host Gifts for Christmas

Holidays mean: happenings, fun times with all the family and friends and food excess… No wonder why it’s my favorite time of the year 😉

But you know each year, I almost forget to buy the gift that is, in my opinion, the most important: the hostess/host gift!

Receiving all the family, friends, colleagues, etc. – it takes a lot of time, thinking and money.

The person who organizes the Holiday events have a lot to do to make everything perfect:
– clean before AND after the party;
– create welcome drinks;
– think about games or activities to entertain the kids;
– shovel snow so people can park their car;
– provide an excellent playlist of Christmas songs;

– cook delicious small bites or sometimes even the entire meal.

This year, to thank them, I want to give them something better than the usual chocolate box I usually find at the drugstore…

And, you know, you could even buy the gift with other people✌️

1. For the foodie
A box of delicious cookies or sweets

Cookies always make people happy, no matter what time of the year it is!🍪 Our favorites these days: Audacieuse Vanille‘s vegan chocolate chip cookies made with almond butter. YUMMY! The box of 6 is $15. Website:

2. For the person who needs to take care of herself/himself more
The hot tub kit

People who like to receive everybody for Holidays are often the type of person who like to take care of others and treat others. Offer them something so they can take care of themselves for a change!🤝 Our friends from Maison Lavande have many gift sets perfect for that, like this “White Flower and Lavender Set”. It contains a hand cream, a bubble bath, a moisturizing skin lotion and a soap. The set is $45. Website:

A natural candlelight (to light during hot tub time)
Nothing better than a soft and natural scent to create a relaxing atmosphere. This one is a creation of Les Lueurs in collaboration with Atelier Margot and is really fantastic. What’s very cool about this candle is that, once it is all consumed, you can reuse the ceramic recipient to drink your coffee, your tea or even to store small objects (like earrings!💡). The challenge? Choosing only one fragrance between the three they have: lavender + white grapefruit, cedar + black spruce or sage + pink grapefruit. The candlelight is $35.

A book to learn how to take care of oneself

Some people need a little help to finally take care of themselves… You know the kind of people who are always looking out for others, who are under a lot of pressure, who find it hard to say “no”, etc. Why not give them a nice book about self care? “Make Yourself Cozy”, written and illustrated by Katie Vaz, will definitely please the overwhelmed people around you who need to slow things down a little🙏 The book is $19.99. A spa day for 2 people – if you have the budget!
